Andrew Powell founded Advanced Turf Care with a clear purpose: to provide homeowners with reliable, personalized lawn care backed by real experience in turf management.
Andrew brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the lawn care industry. His connection to turf care started early. By the time he was in the third grade, he was already mowing neighborhood lawns and learning what it takes to keep grass healthy and maintained. What started as a small childhood job eventually grew into a lifelong profession.
In 2004, Andrew began his professional turf management career in the Atlanta, Georgia area, working as a lawn technician for six years. In 2010, he opened his own lawn care business, gaining valuable experience running a company and helping homeowners maintain stronger lawns.
After nearly a decade operating that business, Andrew and his family moved to the Charlotte region in 2018. He briefly worked with a large commercial lawn care provider, but the experience reinforced something he already believed: the most rewarding part of lawn care is working directly with homeowners and seeing the long-term improvement of their lawns.
That realization led Andrew to launch Advanced Turf Care in September 2019 in Gastonia, North Carolina. Since then, the company has focused on providing dependable lawn care programs designed specifically for the climate and soil conditions of the greater Charlotte area.
Today, Andrew continues to guide the company with a simple philosophy: treat every lawn with the same care and attention you would give your own property. Working alongside his wife Carly and raising their children, Kate and Cash, Andrew has built Advanced Turf Care around the values of reliability, consistency, and genuine customer relationships.
James serves as the Lead Lawn Technician at Advanced Turf Care, playing a key role in ensuring treatments are delivered consistently and correctly across the properties we service.
